This guide will help you uninstall all ATOC software
and it works for both versions. We recommend you follow
these procedures if you're changing between clients, example:
from the full version to the express version, or upgrading.
This is only necessary to assure you have the best conditions
for re-installing / installing the ATOC Software.
1. Reboot your machine before continuing. This
assures that parts of the installed software aren't in
use on your machine causing you not to be able to completely
uninstall everything.
2. Use the Add / Remove Programs tool in Windows
to uninstall ALL the ATOC software seen in the list.
Here's how: Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs
> Wait for the list to populate > Uninstall everything that
starts with ATOC.
3. Open the FlightProject
main directory. Here's how: Start > My Computer > Double
Click "Local Disk (C:)"
> Double Click the "Program Files" Folder > Double
Click the FlightProject Folder. Look inside the FlightProject
main directory and locate any file that says "unins000.exe".
You may have more than one and they'll be numbered accordingly
as unins001.exe, unins002.exe etc. Double click and run
all unins00X.exe files located here. This will manually
remove anything that wasn't removed in step 2 above. If
no files exist it means they were successfully removed
in step 2 above. Continue to step 4.
4. Click Back to go
back one step in the directory structure. You can now safely
left click on the FlightProject Folder then right click
and choose "delete".
This will remove the entire FlightProject folder from your
machine. Don't close the window, continue to step 5.
5. In the directory window browse to the Flight
Sim 9 root directory and open the Modules folder. This
is the path you should be viewing:
C: \ Program Files \
Microsoft Games \ Flight Simulator 9 \ Modules
Once there locate and delete any file that starts with
"ATOC". There should only be a maximum of three files.
(ATOCModul2004.dll, ATOCModul.ini, and ATOCExpress2004.dll).
You may also have an ATOCExpress Folder in this directory,
if you do it is safe to remove. Right click and delete
the files / folder if they exist, if none exist don't
worry it just means the uninstall in step 2 already removed
the file. Continue to step 6.
6. Click Back one
time to move to your Flight Sim 9 root directory and then open
the the Aircraft Folder. Here you may find quite a few ATOC Folders.
These are the multi player aircraft installed when installing
the base model pack. Remove all these folders by right clicking
and deleting them. You can delete multiple folders at once,
just be sure to only remove the folders that start with
ATOC. All other folders in this directory need to remain,
they are other aircraft you've installed or the base aircraft
that come with flight simulator. Also you may have in this
directory a file named ATOCAircraftList.ini, delete this
file as well.
7. After completing the above steps close all windows
and get back to your desktop. You may now safely reboot
your machine. Rebooting your machine at this point assures
that all your changes have been saved correctly and will
assure a good installation of a new ATOC Pilot Client.
Once you've rebooted you will have safely
removed all ATOC installations and your machine
will be in pre-installation condition. We hope this guide
helped. Should you have any input or questions you may
consult the message boards below for further help.
